Currently, Mr. Copsey heads the International Division of MC+A. He is President of the Foundation for the Promotion of Democracy, which assists emerging democracies in their struggles towards popular sovereignty, self-determination, transparent economies and political freedom. FPD is a non-profit with a 501c3 division that currently works in Iraq and Iran.
Internationally, Mr. Copsey has served free-market candidates and causes in Russia, Croatia, Albania, the Kurdistan Region, Italy, Iraq, Iran and among others. Since 2003, Lance Copsey and his partner have operated a national media facility in Baghdad. The purpose of the facility is to produce advertising for candidates and political entities interested in promoting their campaigns and civil society groups interested in the advancement of democracy-building and voter participation.
Mr. Copsey recently received two Telly Awards for video productions he produced last year. The first was a short format documentary which described the efforts of Shared Hope International in addressing the tragedy of human trafficking for sexual exploitation. The short film was primarily composed of surveillance footage of predators and interviews with victims and was shot in a wide variety of countries and locales. Mr. Copsey produced, directed and edited the film. The second Telly was for his work producing and directing a music video featuring recording artist Natalie Grant. Ms. Grant wrote the song for trafficking victims in India.
On the U.S. national level, Mr. Copsey has served as a consultant on the advertising team for the National Republican Congressional Committee in each of the last four election cycles. He served on two Presidential campaigns including the Alexander for President campaign where he oversaw campaign efforts in the Northeast, including the nation's pivotal first primary - New Hampshire.
Mr. Copsey attended Frostburg State University. He has lectured extensively on the subject of communications, grassroots political activism and advertising.
